‘Knitted by Nanas’

Nestle - Knitted by Nanas

Nestle - Knitted by Nanas

On first thoughts, the recent television advertisements that depict old women ‘knitting’ Nestle Shreddies are nothing but an attempt to encourage children to pick that particular type of breakfast cereal, but under closer inspection another theory has come to light. Experts now believe that the campaign has actually been set up by the Government in order to gain favourable publicity for the old people, minimising any suspicion that may surround them. As well as portraying old ladies as being kind and gentle, the advertisements also show the act of knitting to be beneficial to society as a whole, carefully concealing the real reasoning behind it. This means that the children of today will grow up believing that OAPs are harmless, and therefore supporting the Government’s secret tactics. Spread the word… There is still hope!
