You see a hearing aid in someone’s ear, and assume they’re deaf, but what if it’s just a cover? What if they actually have perfect hearing? Or, what if it’s not actually a hearing aid at all and it is infact some kind of recording or decoding device? It is not likely that an untrained eye would notice the difference between a real hearing aid and a fake, making it improbable that they’ll ever get caught out…
